Effects of the flavonoids on the hepatocyte death induced by the CCl₄. The cells (10⁶/ml) were pre-incubated at 37°C in Eagle medium for 2 h followed by the 40 mM CCl₄ addition and suspension was incubated for 2 h. In some cases chamiloflan (500 μg/ml) or AP7Glu (30 μM) were added to the culture medium 2 h prior the CCl₄addition and cells incubated for 4 h. Control cells were incubated in the presence of 30 mM ethanol for 4 h. To determine the cells viability, the trypan blue exclusion into hepatocytes and LDH release into supernatant have been studied using commercially available kits.
