1Diets were custom prepared by Kliba (Kaiseraugst, Switzerland) as a fat and cholesterol enriched diet 2604. Unless indicated otherwise, stocks were from Kliba. Proximate analysis of minipig test diets (wt%) was: carbohydrate as nitrogen free extract 46.6, crude protein 15.9, water 11.1, crude fat 16.8, ash (including vitamins) 5.1, and crude fiber 4.6. Total- and digestible energy of the diet were estimated to be 3985 and 3776 kcal/kg diet, respectively. 2Centravo Schweinefett B 90, Centravo AG, Zurich, Switzerland.
